County Manager Randy Keaton told the Finance Committee he expected a $650,000 revenue shortfall for the rest of the 2008-09 fiscal year. The shortfall has resulted from a sharp downturn in land transfer tax proceeds and a dip in sales tax receipts.

Keaton suggested a plan for making up $400,000 of the shortfall:
